All of our furniture made to the Classic construction method has a coil sprung seat platform. Recognised as the superior form of spring seating, the coil sprung seat offers both comfort and durability.
Coil Sprung Backs
Our designs with fully upholstered backs, such as the Chalfont and Blenheim, are constructed with coil sprung backs for support and comfort.
Zig Zag Steel Sprung Back
The inside backs of all of our designs with loose back cushions are also sprung with flat serpentine springs. Unlike webbing which stretches over time these springs will keep their shape.
Handsprung Coil Seat and Back
All furniture made to the Heritage construction, and some our occasional chairs contain the hand tied double cone spring. Each individual spring is hand sewn onto a webbing base and a hessian top, continuing traditions of generations gone by.
